Ministry asks antitrust to warn fittings makers against price hike
MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- The Industry and Trade Ministry has requested the Federal Antimonopoly Service warn the producers of fittings against price hiking, Deputy Minister Viktor Yevtukhov said on Friday.
He said that the ministry detected an unjustified price growth for the products at the plants.
"As I promised, we have sent the request to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, so the companies get a warning about acceptable market behavior," Yevtukhov said.
The sales prices for fittings with delivery in October rose by 14.5% on average to 55,000 rubles per tonne without value-added tax. But there is no objective ground for the price increase, he said.
